The Outsiders is a new Broadway musical based on the famous 1967 novel by S.E. Hinton. The musical adaptation tells the timeless story of 14-year-old Ponyboy Curtis trying to find his way in a world filled with violence, classism and gang warfare between the down-on-their-luck Greasers and the wealthy Socs. Featuring direction by Danya Taymor, a book by Adam Rapp and Justin Levine and music and lyrics by Jamestown Revival, The Outsiders took home four awards at the 2024 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and is now playing at New York City’s Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre.
